Hello @johnbluffside, While we wait for other members with experience to share similar experiences with you, I thought I would share a couple of articles on the topic that might be helpful.

Tested also for autoimmune and parasites. Negative
Even tested twice for SIBO one hospital one mail in two GI and registered dietician doesn’t believe SIBO since no diarrhea so they won’t treat and wondering if anyone have used Biofilm disrupters? Safe?
They say the bacteria and parasites find many places to hide.
Thanks!
Have you seen these two discussions that mention biofilm disrupters?

I have horrendous digestive disorders. Been to 6 Gastros even Mayo Clinic Jacksonville for many tests . 7 diagnoses tried everything they make under the sun for it .
I just got told and ordered http://www.seed.com ( it’s a pre/ probiotic) that’s not like anything on market .
It’s a subscription, that you can cancel anytime $49.00 month free shipping .
There is a disc code for 20 percent off online (just google it ). Go to the site and read about it .
I just started so I’m praying after my body gets used to it , it will start to help . I’m chronic sick 🤢 daily and nightly . Good luck 🍀
Xifaxin worked for you but the symptoms came back after a while? Consider asking for oral neomycin, 4 weeks or so, familiarize yourself with the issues surrounding the drug and kidney and hearing damage though. Good luck.
Too dangerous to use . I read too many with severe reactions hearing loss and kidney damage . I am reading many are not carrying .
SIBO still comes back after taking it .
please keep us posted as to effectiveness of this treatment, thanks.
JAX Mayo has a functional/integrative branch. Try them.
Facebook has a private SIBO group/very helpful. sibosos group.
SIBO comes back because the drugs are treating the symptoms and not the CAUSE. This happened to me as well. The gut lining has become thin and allows toxins into our bodies. When you use antibiotics to kill the bad bacteria, the good bacteria also is affected.
Find a doctor who will listen to you and understands this.
It took 3 endoscopies and seeing 3 different doctors before I found one who understands SIBO and how to treat.
Best to you. It’s a difficult journey.
Sounds like you have tried a lot. Here are some ideas for you that may provide help and clues to the source of your SIBO:
1. Great Practitioner out of Australia who interviews well respected Doctors who are leaders in the field of SIBO tx. Her program use to be free but does work. There is a protocol for rotating herbals during tx. The bacteria in your gut can become resistant to the herbals just like they do the antibiotics.

2. Norm Robillard has developed a program, the Fast Trac Diet, where you limit low glycemic carbohydrates as they digest slower and allow bacteria to grow. I had to use his program combined with the Low FODMAP diet to heal. He has written a book, Fast Trac Digestion, on his diet which is helpful and the app is also worth purchasing if you go that route. The Low FODMAP diet is tricky on its own as it allows too many carbs for some people, you may be one of them.

As an example, on the Low FODMAP diet you can eat 3/4 cup of cantaloupe on the Fast Trac Diet 1/2 cup is safe. It is amazing, going over the limit on something like that can make a difference for some people.
Was your Dietician trained in the Low FODMAP diet? Dr Nirali Jacobi has a program that practitioners can take and be certified in. It is a very tricky diet, one grape too many and I get symptoms!
3. Have your zinc and copper levels been tested? I was low in copper and zinc and had brain fog. After supplementing the brain fog cleared up within 3 weeks. You really need to test for this before supplementing as too much copper is harmful.
4. Are you exercising? Physical exercise helps with gut motility.
I did herbals twice, SIBO came back within a week of stopping. Once I tried the FODMAP and Fast Trac Diet combo I was able to keep it at bay. I am missing my ileocecal valve so will have to watch my carbs for life.
I agree with gigi comments above, keep searching for a Doctor who treats SIBO. My first gastroenterologist did not believe in it!
Hope this helps!
