Has anyone else had tumor that is in the lower inner quadrant? Mine is practically in the cleavage. Would love to hear your experience.

Mine was in the inner lower quadrant on left side.. about 8 o’clock area if my breast was a clock. It was invasive lobular carcinoma. It was not a round hard lump. When I was doing self exam it felt long and mushy kind of like a cigar. I knew it was not supposed to feel like that. Next day, in 2013, went to breast clinic and from there did Mamo, ultrasound, biopsy where I was diagnosed.
Yes, mine was inner lower quadrant also. I felt and saw the pucker which was about peanut size. My surgeon removed that and a small enhanced cyst at the same time. That was September 27th. I followed up with a short, 5day course of radiation. Im back home now and doing well. God bless you, on your journey.
Yes, my DCIS was located at about 7 o’clock in my left breast. Due to its close proximity to my heart, deep inspiration breath hold was required during my radiation therapy.
Thank you for this information. I hope the treatment wasn't too terrible.
Wow. That was fast. How was the radiation for you? Was there a lot of burning?
I hope the radiation wasn't too bad for you. Mine is in such a weird area. It's at the very bottom of my breast in the center.
I did -- 3 tumors at 6:00, 7-8:00, and 9:00 on my first imaging in 2020. It was triple negative though, so grew to lymph nodes/chest wall/skin pretty fast from there, and the chest wall malignancies couldn't be taken out by surgery which is why I had the 35 rounds of radiation.
I didn't have to hold my breath for radiation, that's interesting -- but I had to keep it shallow.
I 'm a writer and one time in radiation I started thinking creatively and I guess my breathing changed so much that it completely threw off the vectors and the techs had to shut off the machine and open the giant door and they all came running in to see what had happened.
After that they made me think of surface things, LOL.
I had a total 5day course of radiation on the whole left breast. I felt good the entire time. I rested well, took daily walks and ate healthy meals. My course was Monday through Friday. On the following Tuesday I was really tired and rested the whole day. I did admit to overdoing the previous day, Monday was my 44th anniversary and my husband and I spent the day celebrating (a long drive and evening out).
I had a slight pink skin, no significant burn and kept aloe vera and Aveno lotion on my breast. At 12 days post final, I had my after treatment consult and was released to go home. My advice would be to do research, get multiple opinions, and pray for guidance.
Im still feeling well and haven’t had any adverse effects. Blessings❤️
Oh, gosh. That's interesting! I hope it wasn't too painful. And I hope you are doing great now. Are you taking anastrozole or anything now?
That's great to hear. Congratulations on 44 years! Thank you for that advice. I haven't gotten a second opinion, but I'm thinking about it.
