I am curious about the spasms just under your ribs. I have been left with spasms of my diaphragm (bronchspasms). My diaphragm will spasm pushing upward (as if it is in the relaxed position, before breathing in) and is involuntary. This happens from taking a deep breath while doing mild aerobic exercise, even walking the length of one block. While spamming, it will be difficult to breath in and requires energy and focus to stop the spasm. This is from covid. I’ve not heard from anyone who shares this problem and wonder if this is your experience. It has been a year since covid and has gotten better but not gone away.

Is the burning gut you talk about reflux? I ask because I too had this problem for which I used Tums constantly. I’ve also gone on a low acid diet and now find much relief as the symptoms have eased and I rarely need the tums.

I guess I want to say that conditions can get better with time and attention.

No, it's nit acid reflux or Gerd, and not ulcers. So far no explanation except the gut- mind connection.
And my spasms literally feel like early labor contractions. But they are less frequent than they had been, but the gut burning and nausea and weight loss getting more persistent!

no, not reflux; that was ruled out. BUT Mayo doctors put me on LDN and mid-day gabapentin and upped my regular nighttime gaba, and it has disappeared! YAY!!! Thank God for the Mayoo Clinic
