I have dizziness every day which starts about an hour after I take prednisone for PMR. It makes me feel unfocused and slightly affects my balance, which really does affect my daily living. I also am afraid others will assume I am under the influence of mind altering drugs, or am impaired. I was diagnosed with PMR 3 months ago, and have been tapering from 40mg to my current level of 10 mg.

Welcome @dizzybill, I saw this information under precautions on the prednisone side effects that mentions what you are experiencing.
"Talk to your doctor right away if you have more than one of these symptoms while you are using this medicine: blurred vision, dizziness or fainting, a fast, irregular, or pounding heartbeat, increased thirst or urination, irritability, or unusual tiredness or weakness."
