You must still be very uncomfortable if you had surgery Monday.
I also had a mastectomy in NY many years ago. I think I had one more day in the hospital than you did. I had to manage the drains myself. I felt I was expected to be “brave”. I did not like to go home and deal with this myself. I remember thinking that I should have had a visiting nurse also.
Does your suture line feel warm and tender- worrying about an infection? It looks good.
It is difficult to arrange these things yourself. Maybe check back with the hospital.
When are they taking the drains out?

Thank you. The hospital tried to arrange for a nurse to visit me once per week, but the agencies refused it.

I don't know when they are taking the drains out. Meeting the surgeon on Tuesday.

My husband does the drains for me. I don't have anything at the incision area. Some swollen veins or lymph nodes on the upper left side. Is it normal?

I walked two hours yesterday and prepared a beautiful lunch for my family. PT exercises.

My country doesn't let you go till you remove the drains. They keep you in the hospital. Although I feel that it is very manageable, I would like to have the nurse check my area, my swellings.

The hospital keeps track via Portal. I write there every single day about my state. They asked about swelling around incision, which I don't have. But no questions about swelling in other areas.
