According to the Mayo Clinic you can have normal markers and still have the disease. This is supported in every scientific journal across the world. Your doctor should know this.

As a PMR sufferer, I totally agree with this. And the reverse I've found to be also true. You can have high pain markers but not be feeling much PMR pain at the time the blood sample was taken.
