@grandmasheri incontinence can be awful, can’t it. I’ve suffered from stress incontinence for several years, now, all brought on by an autoimmune disease that attacked my brain. I finally found some washable/reusable underwear that has totally saved the day! The name is KNIX, but there are several manufacturers. Expensive, yes, but i found that mine have lasted for several years. Just google ‘washable incontinence underwear.’
And try to learn some kegel exercises. YouTube must have them!
Please let me know how you do!
Thank you
I know lung cancer is difficult to deal with… it has run rampant in my family. Please do take the time to take care of your whole body… make an appointment with a urogynecology. I can also suggest Kegel exercises. https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/womens-health/in-depth/kegel-exercises/art-20045283 . You might want to look into other pelvic exercises too. I have had urinary incontinence. The Kegel exercises do help. If the cause of the leakage is bladder prolapse there is a pessary to help with that.
Meanwhile I can suggest these pull-ups that made life much easier for my mom. .. and me as her caregiver. They held all of her urine overnight. Mom said they were comfortable. They can be torn on the sides for removal if needed. They have some that hold less for daytime wear. She wore them during the day sometimes. .. like when it would be a several hour doctor trip.
https://www.carewell.com/product/abena-abri-flex-pull-up-underwear-3-ultra-heavy/ . Amazon used to be the cheapest on them .. but things can change.
I will have you in my prayers throughout your cancer journey.
