Hello @selene43 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. Your symptoms sound overwhelming for sure. The fact that you have changed your diet completely at the advice of your doctor, is a huge win for you and your overall health so congratulations on that!

Often times, people's intuition alone is enough to seek a second opinion to confirm what you may feel in your gut just isn't quite right. Your gallbladder surgery is coming up fast in December, however, in the meantime, have you considered a second opinion to make sure you feel good about the initial diagnosis you've been given?

I went to the emergency room yesterday morning and was admitted. They said I have an inflamed gallbladder and infection. They are giving me antibiotics by IV, and recommends surgery tomorrow. However, the surgeon said I could wait until December 1st. I'm flying out on Wednesday to see family and won't be back until the 28th. I don't know if I should wait to have surgery or just do it tomorrow to get it over with.
