It means the surgeon removes all the tumor with clear margins (tissue around the tumor clear of cancer cells)
This is what we aim for ! Ask him after surgery.
Also they analyse the cancerous cells in pathology ask if you are PDL 1 + or something else.
If you are PDL1 + immunotherapy (if needed) is a good option to prevent recurrence - if needed.

R0 means the surgery took out the tumor and tissue around it (to make sure) - with no cancer cell … “Clear Margins”
When you will be done with surgery ask surgeon if you are R0 !
