Yes, I took for one year, with no side effects. My scans afterwards showed significant improvement ( (my Endocrinologist was very pleased). After Evenity I had a Reclast infusion and continued to improve. Had my 2nd Reclast infusion this August. Next year I will have another set of scans to determine next course of action. Doctor mentioned maybe Evenity again.
Hope this helps. Good luck with your journey…it’s a very personal decision but for me it was the right choice.

Thank you for your response & encouraging words. I am sitting in a medical facility and awaiting the first injection!

Hi Arlene,
Sounds like a success story! I’m having injection #4 next week. Can you clarify how soon after your last injection you had the Reclast infusion? And what was spacing between that injection and following injection? Thank you in advance for the info. Setting my sights on a possible path after my 12th injection.

I have pretty severe osteoporosis which I tried to treat naturally (food, nutrients, exercise) but it only got worse. Two docs with whom I consulted strongly advise me to go on Evenity, however I am very nervous about it given the warnings and the short amount of time it has been on the market. The alternative is Prolia, which is also not without risk, however it is milder and I know many people that went on it and had no issues. When I read your story from 2020, it sounded very similar to mine. It sounds like you tolerated Evenity well. Do you have any advice for me?
