I also had patella clunk syndrome. My surgeon was very hesitant to open the knee before 1 year for fear of infection and also sometimes it does correct itself. At 20 months and after more therapy he said we should scope the knee.
My knee was scoped on Sept 1 and is sooo much better. I did do about 4 weeks of therapy after.

Interested to hear more about your patellar clunk! Did it hurt when you straightened your leg? Did it make it difficult to stand up from a seated position? Could you see your knee cap "jump" a little when straightening your leg from a flexed position? Do you know if you had a posterior stabilized implant? It seems like patellar clunk is a pretty rare complication and I have read that it is more commmon with that type of implant. Hope you are still doing well!

Oh that is good to hear. Where are you located? My surgeon does not want to scope - but open up the knee so I am looking for someone who would scope it.
