I lived on the big island for 10 years, which is likely where I picked up NTM. I saw a report from BYU that linked NTM to the hematite (lava) type soils, as it really bonds/sticks to the rocky soil. Since I gardened like a maniac for years it was an ah-ha moment for me. I recently moved to the mainland. I’m sure I’ll make my way back someday.

Hi Christielynn,
Thank you for your response. I am sorry that you had to move away from Hawaii because of this condition. It must be a hard decision to make. I love Hawaii. Like you said, hopefully someday you can go back.
