For your throat issue, try gargling several times a day with about 1/2 cup warm water that has some salt (make it about as salty as ocean water), a teaspoon or two of apple cider vinegar, and if you can stand this part - a dash of cayenne pepper. If you can’t take the heat of this ingredient, omit it. Gaggle as deeply as you can allowing it to get very far back into your throat. Do not drink anything for at least a half hour afterward so that it stays on your throat. I got this tip from a professional singer who needed her throat and voice in top notch condition. Hope you get relief.

•gargle, not gaggle. lol.

Thank you for this recipe. It has helped me greatly.
The cayenne doesn't have to burn to help. I use only a speck.
I add 2 oz. of cold water, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. cider vinegar, and a speck of cayenne to a 5 oz. glass and give it a stir. I microwave the solution on high for 10 sec. before gargling. Relief is immediate due largely, I believe, to the numbing effects of even such a small amount of cayenne.
