I had a sigmoidectomy on June 6 2022 after a diverticulitis flareup that started in the middle of February 2022. Double antibiotics numerous times but still smoldering inside even after removing it. Now am dealing with c diff from all the antibiotics. But diverticulitis is gone. Your choice but surgery was my only way. Good Luck.
