Am I crazy for being concerned ??

@ffelkey You sound like so many of us who don’t feel that we get the whole answer. Doctors say the same thing over and over and forget that the person they’re speaking to has never heard of it before. Medical terms are like a foreign language. You may want to consider going to a major medical center of university teaching hospital in your state. The doctors are usually more knowledgeable. That’s what I had to do when none of the doctors in my town could recognize/diagnose what was on my MRI. The university hospital has been top-notch for me ever since.
Is that something you might consider?

Please be aware that not all university hospitals are "top-notch". Some have marginal and/or incompetent staff just like a town does. I went to the #1 rated state university hospital. I checked on Friday to ensure that my medical records were there, they were I was told. On Monday, I arrived after a 6 hour drive to be told the records were "not there" and my appointment would not happen. I gave up. Then I made an appt with the second best hospital in the nation, traveled there at GREAT EXPENSE. I also brought my records with me, 8" stack. The "referral was misread" and I was scheduled with a neurologist with a stroke specialty who would not see me because I had NOT had a stroke. The doctor I should have seen was not in that building but was 25 miles away. Another failure of supposed superb medical care. But the EXPENSE was there. Everyone considers going to a university or major medical center. For some, it could be life saving. It could have been for me. I'll never know, I am out of transportation cash to throw away to others' incompetence. Also, considering a trip to these facilities has the reality of transportation costs. Those can equal a month's groceries or rent. Or that trip is simply not going to happen due to costs. Disability does not as well as a previous career.
