After a year and a half of my long Covid symptoms not going away, I met with a chronic fatigue specialist and they tested me for EBV. It was positive. I had mono back in college which is caused by EBV and it laid dormant 34 years until Covid reactivated it. I’m on an antiviral Valtrex for the past five months; I think it’s helping. I want it to help. It was the only suggestion and explanation of why a healthy person, that got Covid before vaccines were available, is dealing with chronic fatigue and migraines for so long. No quick fix for sure, but hopefully will put EBV back to sleep!

There are also other antiviral protocols, several of which have helped me a little. Lysine 500 mg plus olive leaf extract 500 mg plus Inspired nutrition Monolaurin (scoop) /all three twice a day and spaced out for best efficacy.

There are lots of anti-viral herbs and supplements on the market, however to treat the long haul depletion you need other supplementation such as B-3, glutathione, certain amino acids, histamine blockers, and an anti-inflammatory and low histamine diet. There is LOTS of good information in the Facebook Long Haulers group, with 90,000+ people from around the world sharing their stories and useful information. All the best to you!
