Mixed signals from Jacksonville Gastroenterology
Had CT for IBS.
One verbal diagnosis says I do have inflammation of the colon. Another verbal diagnosis says no.
I asked them do I have it or not?
I wouldn’t expect this from the Mayo Clinic!
Now they want me to go ahead with a colonoscopy.
Why can’t they try oral medication first?

Hi @gagent, it sounds like there has been miscommunication with your team in Gastorenterology at Mayo Clinic in Florida.

I'm confused a little too. From the messages that you've posted previously, you stated that you've had many medications, none of which have worked. You suspected that after the CT scan you would be getting a colonoscopy to investigate further.

I hope you were able to get your questions answered about the abdominal aortic aneurysm. Please contact Mayo Clinic about your concern in getting the colonscopy or clarification about next steps. Your doctors want you to be informed and comfortable about next steps.
