I know what you mean about being able to vent on this site. After my sigmoidectomy I found this site actually right before I had it. It gave me a lot of information so when I tested positive for c diff I was aware of Vancomycin and other things that can be done. The symptoms came on very sudden and I was hospitalized for six days. Been out of the hospital for a little over a week now. Still on the Vanco but today’s my last day. I have to admit I am a little nervous finishing the Vanco because I hear so much that it takes more than one round and it’s a bitch to get rid of this c diff. Sucks! I am trying to take the positive approach but last two days have felt more of the colitis and more urgency and I’m still on the Vanco. Followed up with my regular GP and we have a plan in place. If this appears to be coming back I can contact her and she will put me back on the Vanco and give me a referral to the The infectious disease doctor that I had been seeing while I was in the hospital. I am not able to follow up with my gastroenterologist until the end of January 2023. So I am kind of preparing for the worst you could say but hoping for the best. It is nice to vent. I know family gets tired of it. I am 67 and I feel like I am 90 when I’m going through this crap. Hope everything is well with you.

... had a bit of a meltdown this evening, so many issues and seem to be able to deal with one at a time but when they all, or more than one, act up plus not sleeping well night before I get very emotional... having a list of chronic illnesses where one affect the other although not life threatening is a lot to deal with at 79 and no energy... I feel for everyone whose comment I read and learn what they are coping with. my 40 yr marriage is now affected and i hardly go out of the house as I have written on here before, from a busy bee working mum to a complaining full of illness sometimes miserable person and I don't even like myself much any more... yes c.diff is awful and I copes at home with the mess and laundry and all and not sure if would have been better in hospital and concerned it may be back because I had a real bad day and lots of clean up even through the night... well will stop here as could go on and on... wishing you and everyone even a small break/rest from their symptoms and thanks for your response 🌷
