Did they test you for c diff? I had a sigmoidectomy in June 2022. Before that time my surgeon told me that I would have diarrhea. two days after my surgery in the hospital I had diarrhea and they tested the diarrhea and I ended up having cdiff. It was from all the antibiotics that I was on to try to get rid of the problem before my surgery. It is pretty nasty so you wanna get it taken care of as much as possible. How did they treat your C.Dif? Was the treatment sucessful? Alot of people I know can't get rid of it. Before my sigmoid cholectomy I was on ABX for 5 Mos. On and off for Diverticulitis. Have been tested numerous times since for C. Dif. Because of diarrhea and so far the test come back negative for C. Dif.

...such a good idea to test for c.diff.... i had it 3 yrs ago and that coupled with some other issues, was a life changer...as all happened around same time. its odd, never had constipation in life now progressed to fecal incontinence and surprising how sore it make the anus and area.... when i take IMODIUM, if too much then cannot go and pressure.... in itself could cope if not for other medical issues... glad we can at least vent on this site as my family tired of hearing me! four times thru last night up cleaning myself.... but been for years... now who will help me if i moved to a seniors home etc? no - one! my future is frightening me and i dont live alone but spouse has ill health and i think getting tired of me.anyway this isnt about me; hope you get some help soon and recover your health with best possible outcome!
