Hi. GABA did a number on my head. I was taking it for PASC. But when I stopped taking it I noticed some Neuropathy issues kick in a little more. Don’t know if there is a connection and not going to test it. I am DM2 as well. I gotta say something though. I notice that my neuropathy goes as my BS goes. Any one notice that? If I eat no carbs for a day the neuropathy basically is not an issue at all. They say it should not be affected that fast but it is what it is. Also take zinc and selenium for the PASC which helps and it also seems to help the ńeuropathy and tingling as well. I have a couple other natural things I take to help with sugar level as well. I am still figuring this out.
John, I am a caregiver who cares for someone very close to me. The PN started after surgeries to replace knees. Since then, over 15 years, I have researched and tried literally everything. There are things that help with the pain but nothing provides satisfactory relief. Been to numerous Neurologists, m.d.'s who supposedly specialize in PN but nothing new was suggested. I'd suggest using Tens, a spikey ball rolled under the feet and nsaids. This coupled with walking is our current regimine.
