Thank you so much for the reply. Yes my mucous is very high like in the back of my throat. And the wheeze is on the exhale like a high pitched rattle when light and a airy, whirring wheeze when worse , coming right from my throat. It doesn’t come from deeper down and, as I stated before, my chest X-ray and heart echo do not show fluid. My daughter has dexamethasone .625 prescribed for respiratory stress following covid. I’ve wondered if I dissolved it and gargled if that would have the same effect you’ve had from the liquid. Any thoughts?

@mimioto As a nurse, I would strongly recommend that you speak with your doctor before you dissolve dexamethasone for a gargle. Dexamethasone is a steroid and can be dangerous if used incorrectly.
Will you call your doctor and get his ok before making up a gargle?
