This medicine is a very old tried and true for Oral problems. My grown son had the same thing going on( Covid effects as well )and I prescribed this for him and he felt relief within 24 hours. I am not your doctor and I can not speak for you but it is my thinking with my own experience that this latest variant of the Covid virus causes inflammation of the esophagus and throat and higher upper respiratory area. .5ml =5mg is the lowest dose and it worked for us. I am not sure what you mean by wheezing as that can be different for different people. I never felt like I could not take in air. My nose was rarely clogged badly, It was more the back of the throat and higher up respiratory. I did not feel like I had rales while breathing. I am not sure who can prescribe it to you but if you need help and you finally find someone who is willing you can reach out to me on this site and I will try to help them. Its really not that complicated. But they do need to know you and your particular situation. Dexamethasone Oral rinse. .5mg/5 ml. No dye, no sugar.

Thank you so much for the reply. Yes my mucous is very high like in the back of my throat. And the wheeze is on the exhale like a high pitched rattle when light and a airy, whirring wheeze when worse , coming right from my throat. It doesn’t come from deeper down and, as I stated before, my chest X-ray and heart echo do not show fluid. My daughter has dexamethasone .625 prescribed for respiratory stress following covid. I’ve wondered if I dissolved it and gargled if that would have the same effect you’ve had from the liquid. Any thoughts?
