I know that its' not available in the US, but it is in Canada.

Hi Keith,

Im 58 and was diagnosed with gastroparesis just a a few years ago. For years prior I had alot of trouble with terrible heart burn, indigestion. After years of dealing with this, I finally got to a gastroenterologist which did the stomach emptying test and it was found that i had slow gastric emptying. I was prescribed Domperidone 30 mg per day and Dexilant 60 mg per day. Domperidone comes with some warnings for use in the states that are related to heart problems on higher doses, but is one of the most safe drugs for this problem. As to say the least known side effects. For me this has given me my life and restored it to almost normal. I still have to watch diet changing to more meals per day and smaller meals with better choices. You can find good diet tips on the web I follow Crystal Saltrelli she has good info. Hope this helps, I live in Canada my doctor check me out first before putting me on domperidone but i have to say I'm glad I was able to get it.

It’s great for slow stomach emptying. I have been on it for years without any side effects at all. It’s really been a life saver for me. I once went on vacation and forgot it at home. Not such a good vacation that time. I live in Montreal.

I tried it years ago .. but it was no help for my problem .. which was not gastroparesis. You can get Domperidone in the US. I had to take my prescription to a compounding pharmacy. This was back in 2013 I live in SW Georgia USA. I cannot remember the cost now. I only got a two week supply to see if it did anything. My insurance did not pay for it.
