I cannot get into the local endocrinologist and my internist doesn’t seem to know what to do for me. The specialist an hour away isn’t taking patients until January. I’ve been on insulin since April when my blood sugars were found to be in the 300-500 range all day , despite having normal fbs in the mornings, which is the only number my doctor was concerned with.

What are your blood sugars like now? If my husband was anywhere near that range, his doc would be all over it, so I would say you are right to be considering alternatives.

A word of caution though - it seems like the entire medical system is having delays, so there may be a wait at Mayo as well.
