@lacy2 Potassium is one of the things we need to watch for, along with sodium, phosphorous, sugars, and calcium. Remember, everyone is different! For me, I was watching my potassium levels carefully, and then was put on heavy duty doses of furosemide. That particular medication can have a tendency to strip potassium in the body, and it did that to me. Now, I am on potassium supplements twice a day, and was also given the okay to indulge in orange juice and bananas!

@ldrlaw Leaching the potatoes will help bleed out potassium in them. I simply chose to be very careful about eating them. @kamama94 has told us of certain types of potatoes that have a naturally lower potassium value, but I cannot recall which type it was. Sorry.

I recently went on furosemide so will be interested to see if my potassium level changes. Thanks - again, I had NO idea.....
