@noelleklein, My husband has Dupuytren's Contracture. He was treated by a Hand Surgeon, years ago, with an injection. It is coming back with the knots in the palm of hand becoming noticeable, however it is not (yet) interfering with daily life and he can still flatten palm on flat surface. He has consulted with the doctor, and he is not ready to seek treatment' which likely be surgery. At the time of his consult 3 years ago they were not recommending the injection anymore. But that might be different now.
Noelle, He does not have any accompanying pain, and this does not interfere with normal activity. Since you describe your experience as horrible and painful, I assume that it is interfering with your daily life. Have you considered consulting with a Hand Specialist about this?

My husband also has it. He had the injection, which helped for a few years. Now they have an outpatient surgery to cut the tendons and straighten his hand when it gets annoying again . He doesn't have pain either. You may have something additional. I agree with seeing a specialist for hands. Good luck!
