Welcome @pdrago1955, some types of chemotherapy are known to cause neuropathy (not all). I understand your decision to choose surgery over chemo since you had pre-exiting neuropathy.

What type of cancer did you have? You had raditation to the shoulder?

I had "poorly differentiated squamos cell carcinoma."
More to my story is the fact that when the surgeon and his pathologist went in they removed some nodes abd tissue that they thought were cancerous and could not find a trace of cancer. I believe it was prayed away! The primary was never found either. I am a walking miracle, praise God🙏
