The Mayo Clinic Ostomy support group meets monthly, on the first Tuesday of the month from 6 to 8 PM MT (find your time zone). We are currently meeting virtually, via Zoom. Each meeting will feature a relevant topic and a guest speaker. Topics have included: stoma and skin management, ostomy care and products, nutrition related to ostomates, motivational ostomate speakers and emotional support.

Does anyone have information or experience regarding ileostomy reversal? I am scheduled for reversal surgery the end of this month.
My rectum and anus are intact, but I only have a sigmoid colon stump. Are there any forums covering this topic?
You may find information at the United Ostomy Association of America. Or I am sure someone here at the Mayo clinic might have an answer. I have met folks that have had reversals but I am not an expert. My Colostomy is permanent.
