Hip pain after injection

I had a cortisone injection at the beginning of June. I had NO relief from the pain in my hip/thigh. I finally found an orthopedic hip surgeon (DO) who - upon seeing my X-ray determined that my pain was originating in my spine! He made an appt for me with an orthopedic spine surgeon, who ordered an MRI. He determined that the pain was originating in my spine (compressed disc), and gave me an order for physical therapy. I have been (mostly) pain free since starting PT.

What an encouraging report! I had exactly the opposite experience years ago - they kept treating my spine and nothing worked - then they found my hips were completely eroded by arthritis. The doc called them "85 year old hips" - only I was 54.

I do have spinal problems too, and keep them under control with stretching and exercise, combined with a periodic "tune-up" by my therapist.

Do you have a home stretching and exercise program to follow?
