Hello, I have been taking Nexium for 10 years and for the past 2 years I’ve been experiencing neuropathic pain in my hands and now all over my body.

All my blood tests come back fine, including my B12 levels. I stopped taking the ppi one week ago and notice no improvements.

Hey Kevin,

Please excuse the super long delay in response. Did you ever see any improvements in you neuropathy with discontinuation of PPI? Just wondering. Hope all is well.

I don't know if you are still dealing with this but, if you are, I would suggest getting your B6 level checked. I started having peripheral neuropathy badly in my feet about this time last year and went to a neurologist who ran dozens of tests and finally found that my B6 was way too high which can cause this neuropathy. I didn't realize how much was in my daily multi-vitamin, my B-complex and numerous fortified cereals I was eating.
