From what I read from the Nstional Kidney Foundation and other sites, you are at far greater risk should you contact Covid by not taking the shot. Nearly a month ago, I had my 3rd Covid booster and flu shot as I too am in Stage 3B. Make sure if you get both shots at the same time that the tech give each in either arm, but not together in the same arm as you need better distribution of each serum. For me, there was hardly any pain in either arm this time around.

I had to have both flu and covid shots in the right arm as I'd had a tetanus shot in the left arm the week before. I hope that doesn't reduce efficacy - pharmacist didn't recommend coming back at another time. I haven't gotten any reaction to the covid shots other than a mildly sore arm; my husband, however, has had a minor temperature and feeling of malaise after the last two boosters - which we feel is a minor inconvenience for the extra protection.
