@fisbo

You are most fortunate and hopefully it will solve which presumably is neuropathy? I feel that is what I have though I was told no. I think there is compression though because I feel it when lying against my back. I wish I could convince them

Fsbo, could you see another doctor for another option? I do it often. Johnmacc

This is exactly why I dont come to health forums anymore. I get upset because the same happened to me. I had to beg for mri of my back and fully insured. It turned out to be a protrusion, mild stenosis, and something else like deteriration and some arthropathy, mild disk bulge. After 2 month, my ortho says he doesnt know why I have pain and sends me to a neurologist. The protrusion was large not small. My hip, sacrum, leg and heel in pain and other symptoms.
I don't know why we have to prove to them that it hurts. If they can't believe it, is pretty offensive. I told him that the prednisoned helped. He gave me only a weeks supply. Then, at this point he said that he couldn't give me anymore. This was before I knew that I had adrenal insufficiency or knew this med was considered a steroid.
It upsets me bc when my results came back, he said that I needed pain pills and he couldn't put my back the way it was before only surgery could. He recomended 3 shots in my lower back/sacrum. Then, he changed his mind and said he didn't know why I hurt.
Then, he overrided a younger ortho referrals and diagnosis and said that.
Anyway, he is not the only doctor who wants to change their diagnosis after they give one. Is it bad luck or are they all like that?
What are we suppose to do for them to believe. If they don't believe you, they are the problem.
I have opted to not go. That is my plan for my next emergency, let nature take its course.
