He mails the cannabis to me. I’m in Calif. He is thorough in explaining the tincture on the phone, and talking to you about the nature of the pain. You put a dropper of the liquid under your tongue twice a day. It hasn’t stopped the pain, but I’m using less Tylenol so far.

Just be aware, if he is shipping you THC in the mail you're playing with fire crossing state lines through the Postal Service. If you're talking about CBD oil without THC then you are fine.
You're in CA where the green movement is revolutionary. If you are getting THC through the mail, I'd consider seeing a local dispensary to avoid breaking Federal Law.
