Does magnesium help neuropathy?

NJ Ed, Magnesium is just one piece of the supplements puzzle that I take for my neuropathy (numbness and tingling only, no pain). Initially after 2 months of taking all of the supplements back in 2016 it does seem like it has stopped or slowed the progression. It feels about the same as it was then and no worse, so that's a win in my mind.

If it helps reduce the pain and/or numbness, I would definitely continue taking it, especially if your doctor is good with it.

John, I did look at the info for the Protocol 525 and I'm currently taking most of the items listed and have for years. There are 2 that are not part of my daily supplements. I see my primary in about 60 days, I'll double check with her on the two I'm not currently taking. I have the same as you no pain, just numbness. You are 100% right, a win is to have neuropathy slow down let alone stabilize. My understanding is that axonal sensory motor PN tends to kind of get to a point and slow down. Supplements no doubt are effective provided we don't exceed the dosages which I've cleared with my primary doc. As always, thanks for all your help and knowledge! Ed
