@mary4 Hi Mary, I thought I had found the link at one time. I did find this doing a search:
And the most recent evidence is in a study from Matteson et al at the Mayo. This group found that the average duration of PMR is 5.9 years. Some 40% of patients are on pred after 10 years - albeit at a low dose.

Thank you so much. My rheumatologist is death on going beyond 2 years. I will ask my family doctor to take over. The support and information from this group has been outstanding. I feel so fortunate to have stumbled across the site.
