On my personal experience, My DCIS couldn’t be felt from the outside. The area of the biopsy did make a hard lump in my breast afterwards. I think this was from the trauma to that area. My surgeon said this was normal & nothing to worry about unless it started to get warm indicating an infection. She said the lump may stay (scar tissue) or could go away. I think it may depend on how you scar. Some people create more scar tissue than others.
