I had 7 biopsies. 6 were fine - just needed to stick ice packs in my tight bra for a day or two. Then there was the 7th biopsy. Ouch. Oops - big hematoma. Iced for 3 days and I wear a bra 24/7 (but a bigger bra since my poor boobie is so swollen 😢). My surgery is in 2-3 weeks so the hematoma should be clear by then. Here’s hoping…

My hematomas were still painful & present 4 weeks after the biopsy. My surgeon removed them during my lumpectomy. They didn’t come back but now I have a Seroma. It’s not painful but the sloshing noise from my breast was nauseating. I sounded like a 1/2 empty milk jug when I moved. My surgeon drained (3.25 oz of fluid) it during my post op appointment. If they’re still there when you have surgery you could ask the surgeon to be sure they’re removed if possible. I don’t know if they do this automatically or not. Hoping you have the best outcome!
