Have anyone who suffers from constipation has heard about Magnesium Oxide? I understand it comes in capsules. I take Myralax but I heard it is not good for your kidneys if you take it frequently so I am stopping it. Any information about it will be appreciated. Thank you

Hi @naiviv, I have not tried magnesium oxide for my running battle with constipation but there is an older discussion started by @ellamster that you might want to read through to learn what has been shared.

I'm trying to get my constipation under control for an upcoming inguinal hernia surgery and have been taking Miralax daily but still have issues. I recently found a member in another discussion that mentioned Heather's Tummy Fiber Organic Acacia Senegal for IBS - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002ON8DU. I ordered some and it really has helped more than anything else that I have tried.

I use Magnesium LOTION on my body for aches and pains. If I use a bit too much it has a laxative effect. However, it’s transdermal so the magnesium does not affect your organs! If you are constipated you can apply the lotion to your skin.
And it helps my arthritis pain…
I get the lotion or oil on Amazon.
