There are certainly medications, but some medications may not fit your circumstance. There is a reason for kidney disease, but first you must understand the underlying cause so it is quite important you see your nephrologist, or at the very least your PCP who can provide lab tests and answers for you. Many of us are scared, but we are less frightened in understanding our condition because we know we can deal with it. This is a process, like learning how to walk. We recognize we have a disease, and many people are able to live their lives to the fullest extent knowing what we should do to control our outcomes. In a certain sense, I sound like an AA commercial, but always ask your doctor questions. -)
