Hi your right I am getting through it seen my Dr last week and he was surprised at how well I'm doing 😊 I am walking now and pretty good I told him I would get the temporary hip out in January I don't want another but I better get it over with after the holidays my oldest daughters birthday is Thanksgiving this year I had her 45 years ago on that day its a big celabration. I appropriate all of everyone's support and stories some of them were awful after reading them mine was a piece of cake. Lol

Question - was the temporary hip put in until the infection cleared? That makes sense to me. Infections are rare but they happen. Sounds like they identified the bacteria and antibiotic. I assume you're gettin that through an IV. Same thing happened to me after surgery on a broken finger that got infected.
Get well, stay strong. Are there exercises you can do ahead of the surgery? Ask your Dr.or a PT.
