Does Celexa (citalopram) help you?

@flow65 It seems our bodies tend to "get comfortable" with some medications over time, and we find they are not as effective as they once were. It's frustrating, isn't it? We work hard to get the right combination.

Personally, I have been on 10 mg Celexa, and that is enough for me. When I feel my anxiety and depression are getting the best of me, I turn to physical exercise, fresh air, doing what makes me happy. I also journal a lot, which helps to get that stuff "out of my mind". Helping myself find what works has been a challenge, to be sure.

Good for you for looking in to the medications, and understanding what are not a good combination. How will you approach this with your doctor?

Ginger, I’m sorry I posted another message under depression and anxiety about Xanax withdrawal. We did ask the dr about the options. Of course, not to increase Xanax, and not adding Buspar. He gave us 2 options. Either up the celexa to 60mg or be uncomfortable tapering off of Xanax. It’s so difficult to be going thru this withdrawal. I’m hoping you have some comments. Thank you.
