I have been coughing since January 8, 2022. been on the nebulizer five times a day. Doctor started me on Spiriva two weeks ago and the second day lost my voice. Yesterday I saw him, he took my off and referred me to an ENT and my doctor will see me in two weeks to see if my voice is back. If it is he will try Trelogy. If not we hope the ENT. He also took some exrays of my throat. my cough is dry and vicious! Now I am totally incontinent. So depressing, 71 yrs old and gained 45 pounds since January from the prednisone for nine months! Finally off of it!

If you can review, You Tube the video of Johns Hopkins University Hoarseness and Cough after COVID-19, It was made 2020 and there may be up dated information however I didn't see any. It may be helpful to you.

For your throat issue, try gargling several times a day with about 1/2 cup warm water that has some salt (make it about as salty as ocean water), a teaspoon or two of apple cider vinegar, and if you can stand this part - a dash of cayenne pepper. If you can’t take the heat of this ingredient, omit it. Gaggle as deeply as you can allowing it to get very far back into your throat. Do not drink anything for at least a half hour afterward so that it stays on your throat. I got this tip from a professional singer who needed her throat and voice in top notch condition. Hope you get relief.
