Anyone with PMR have experience with 4th COVID vax jab?

I am on 2.5mgs and it does not totally control the pain. 5mgs will, but I fear some of the side effects as well. At 5mgs, I will gain weight and the bruising is worse. The 2.5 mgs worked fairly well for me until I took a long car ride. Haven't been able to get control back yet. I am afraid to get off prednisone because of the risk of GCA. It that a wrong assumption?

Hi @vandyms1974, I read that about 30% of those with PMR develop GCA. I also read somewhere that diagnosis and treatment of PMR with prednisone has no bearing on the development of GCA. I have been able to taper down from 40 mg Prednisone for GCA down to .5 mg every other day in the last 15 months. I hope you get your pain under control.
