@beestrong,
Mayo Clinic offers a program to address heart problems associated with cancer treatment called cardio-oncology. The Cardio-Oncology Clinic (https://www.mayoclinic.org/departments-centers/cardio-oncology-clinic/overview/ovc-20442193) evaluates people prior to cancer treatment and patients who have experienced side effects due their treatment. Other cancer centers may have a similar program.

Have you been seen by a cardiologist? Did you have heart issues prior to radiation or is this new?

Hi, thanks for the information.

I haven’t been seen by a cardiologist just yet. Prior to radiation therapy i did have some palpitations. I had an echocardiogram in march which was ok and just recently (2 days ago) had an ekg which was good.
Don’t know for sure if this is because of radiation therapy.

It wouldn't hurt to get it investigated by a cardio-oncology specialist. Radiation can effect the heart, but then so can stress. 😕

Thank you for your reply. Yes, stress can be a factor as well. I have an appointment to see a cardiologist in a few weeks.
