Try implanted stimulator
I have the same problem at age 58. Was going to try the nevro stimulator, but my insurance wouldn't cover it. Foam rolls help, inversion helps, the shots didn't, chiropractors helped for awhile. I think the yoga is a good direction for me. It's the job issue that's killing me.
So sorry to hear the above.
My daughter developed thoracic pain and lower back pain this year and so gets shots at pain clinic helped her a lot but I suggest you search out the best pain clinic in your area because their not all the same
Keep active! I know it’s hard when you are in pain, But, you’ll feel better afterwards. I have a tens unit, Electric acupuncture device, always a heating pad around. Swimming in a heated pool is my favorite, followed by the hot tub. We use a fully loaded gym and I do Zumba for Seniors. Also a BIG believer in massage therapy. Once or twice a month is great. My husband bought the same HYDRAVOLT
MASSAGER they use at Massage Envy and it is Fffaaaabbulous! OMGOSH, it’s really amazing, with different speeds and intensities.
I also have Fibromyalgia, Scoliosis, and have had 4 back surgeries. It truly is like having yr own MT at yr disposal and we take it on vacations too to keep the pain and spasms at bay. The Volt is very
Powerful if u need it to be, so take it slow. My husband uses a heavy duty glove underneath the end to soften the movement sometimes.
Best thing to do is just pay for one session with the hydravolt, and then u can see how it feels and ask the therapist to try different
Settings so u can see if it may be helpful to you. Don’t buy it from Massage Envy. We got it much cheaper on Amazon🥰 Praying for your pain to get better and this will be of some help🙏
I was in a rehab for 10 days after surgery where they pushed me too hard...3 hours of PT per day is a lot for a 70 year old.
The last day I was there I had very bad pain in my groin and it felt like I was sitting on a pile of assorted size rocks.
Lower leg feels like a tight ace bandage is around it too.
They told me I had a pulled muscle.
Made an appt with my orthopedist.
My ortho had me take multiple MRIs of my pelvic and lumbar and thoracic and an ultrasound.
The MRI of my lumbar showed a pinched nerve on my disc.
I live with chronic pain now for months since I left rehab. I’m reluctant to have PT again, as I’m afraid it will make it worse.
NO relief from doctor prescribed muscle relaxers, or nerve medication ie:
gabapentim, Lyrica.
My ortho is going to give me a cortisone shot in my spine to see if that helps.
Anyone with a pinched nerve in their spine have the same symptoms as me?
