AN ENDOCRINOLOGIST WHO IS EXPERIENCED IN TREATING DIABETES AND SEES A SIGNIFICANT # OF DIABETIC PATIENTS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR A DIABETIC PATIENT TO HAVE IN TREATMENT AND DIAGNOSIS. THERE ARE SO MANY VARIABLE FACTORS AT PLAY IN A DIABETIC PATIENT THAT EXPERIENCE WITH A LARGE # OF PATIENTS IS IMPORTANT. IF THEY HAVE "SEEN EVERYTHING" THEY WILL NOT BE SURPRISED AND PRESENT A HIGHER DEGREE OF PROBABLE SUCCESS IN DEALING WITH YOUR PARTICULAR CASE.
Absolutely - Endo is where you need to be now.
Just a question about the UTI's - have they done a urine culture & checked your kidneys? My husband had a repeat UTI last winter, and it was from (diabetic) urine being retained in his kidneys. Also as an older man, his prostate was swollen. Once they got the right antibiotic & gor the urine moving he is doing better. The nephrologist & urologist are watching him like a hawk now.

Ps. I don’t know if this is related, but I have had a UTI since last January. Right around the time I became sick from Trulicity. I have been on 9 antibiotics and no healing. I got a new urologist and he currently is testing for bladder cancer. My oncologist is treating me with imuglobulin infusions. I have never been sick before in my life.
