I only started on Lisinopril 10 mg. In December because I had such bad Sciatica and my 5 mg Amlodipine was not controlling my BP. I ended up in ER with 191/104 BP twice. My regular BP was always 136/75 never that high. So my PCP who I am no longer with added Lisinopril 10 mg. I have been coughing ever since. Amlodipine never had any side effects I have been on it six years. Now I am having back surgery next week my new Dr. lowered it to 5 mg but it is still making me cough. I will report into everyone how I am feeling as the days go on. I am very sensitive to medications. I am allergic to most. I used to work for a Cardiology practice scheduling stress tests, for an Endocrinology office in Seattle at the Front desk and also for a Oncology office at the front desk. I have always been a firm believer in less medication is best. I have some friends that take a handful of pills a day. I want to let my body feel and tell me if it is not feeling well and deal with the pain. Covering up pain or numbing it will not help in the long run..
