I appreciate your post. You make some interesting observations! As you are in your 60's, have you considered some online training? There are many courses offered through Coursera. Many can be taken without a fee or with a fee and then certification. Here is a link to this online program, https://www.coursera.org/. I have taken a few of these courses (without a fee and therefore without certification) and have found them to be stimulating and interesting.

Yes, I'm considering employment, but I'm on disability (now Medicare) because I probably
can't do any job for very long. I'm not exaggerating. My relative was obsessed with horoscopes, and she often told me that the nice appearance of where I would work was more important to me than how high the salary I was paid would be.
(She was wrong. LOL. But, it's interesting.) Anyway, I can't work unless I can take plenty of breaks (something to do with Asperger's) and what employer would tolerate that?
