Mass in breast
I have been told I have a 5mm mass in my right breast. It doesn't hurt. That's good bc I have been denied insurance. Is a 5mm mass something bad?

Could be. The medical professionals where you were diagnosed should offer recommended next steps. Hoping the best outcome for you.
You need to have it biopsied to know what your are dealing with. It could be nothing or could be cancer. The only way to know for sure is to have it checked.

Hi @regina7, finding a mass in your breast can be worrisome. Here's more information from Mayo Clinic about breast lumps:
- Breast Lumps https://www.mayoclinic.org/symptoms/breast-lumps/basics/definition/sym-20050619
Sometimes, a breast lump is a sign of breast cancer. That's why you should seek prompt medical evaluation. Fortunately, however, most breast lumps result from noncancerous (benign) conditions.
Did you discover this mass yourself or was it found by a doctor during a clinical exam?
No I didn't find it. They found it when I had my first mammogram. About a week later they did more imaging and found it. It doesn't even hurt
I am glad you are not having any pain. However, please please have it followed up to have a complete peace of mind. It'd be great if you could let us know here how the follow up resulted. I pray it is nothing important.
The only time it hurts is every so often it wakes me up out of my sleep burning really bad. Thanks for your concern and prayers. As soon as I find out something I'll let you all know.
Breast cancer doesn’t usually hurt at that size. Don’t assume anything from that. Please don’t wait, I did and it went from really tiny to pretty big in a couple months. The bigger it gets, the harder and more expensive treatment gets.
Can I ask what you meant, when you say you were denied insurance?
