John, I had torn rotator cuff surgery years back and after surgery, had to go to PT in order to restore, back to as close to normal, use of shoulder, full range of motion, etc. So, in my eyes, the PT was to get me back to where I once was. And, as long as you were showing signs of improvement, health insurance carries paid. I see the rehab as kind of seeing if you can improve on a disability and at the same time, provide a level of safety and confidence in living your life and not necessarily have a patient return to where they once were. I am just at the beginning of this and will let you know how I make out. I see my nuro doc late this month. And thanks for the links to articles. Helpful!! Ed
